At least, one hopes.

There I was, leading a discussion of Horace, Satires 2.1-3, when a student got up and walked out. I thought nothing of it, figuring it was a bathroom trip or something similarly ordinary. A few minutes later, a man and a woman knock on the door and ask if they can get the student’s stuff, explaining that said student left due to feeling light-headed. After class I’m on my way out the door of the building when I notice the ambulance.

I asked the police officer and he thought that the student was probably OK, but I’ll have to send an email just to follow up and make sure. Still, woah! That’s definitely one way to liven up a discussion, but I don’t recommend it.
